I guess it's been a long time.....

Life tends to get in the way of me doing everything that I want and I guess updating this blog might be one of my worst offences. I'm just doing a photo drop tonight of some of the cards I've done over the last few months.....

Sweet Summer......

I marvel at people who blog everyday and have amazing blogs. I want to be like that someday, for now I continue to just try to be better.

This was another one of our card challenges. I used the "Sweet Summer" set. It was a set that you could earn during sale a bration and I just love it. I was able to use this for my "Spring Fever" entry and then stamp the inside to make it a Mothers day card for my mother in law.

Sunny Fun sneak peak.....

Stampin' Up! has a new summer mini coming out and I LOVE LOVE LOVE so much in the catalogue. This is one of the sets that I pre-ordered for club in May and it is so much fun to use and stinkin' cute. I love how this card turned out and can't wait till the club order arrives this week so I can start prepping projects for May. It's going to be a blast!!!

Man Card......

This is the "Man oh Man" card I made today for the card challenge. It turned out pretty cute and is a quick one to make. Love this stamp set. It's available in the new mini catalogue that starts May.1st. I promise club pictures are still coming......it's been a little busy around here...

Stampin" Club TONIGHT......sneak peek.....

Tonight is Stampin' Club and I can't wait!!! It's so much fun to get together with the girls and have card making fun!!! I don't want to show off the projects before tonight but here is a sneak peek of 2 of the stamp sets we will be using tonight. The 3rd project is going to use some punches, the main one being the cupcake punch!!! I'll be back with project pictures tonight.....

Card Challenges.....

We are both members of a group on facebook and every 2 weeks a new challenge is posted. It's been great for trying new techniques and it's great to see what others make. At the end of the 2 weeks all the entries are put in and you have a chance to win a prize. This last challenge was "I'm torn" so you have to tear your paper.........not so easy to do. I made this cute card and tore my card stock to look like the sand. It was so much fun!!!! Up to my neck in club projects for April but I can't post them until next Friday......hope you are all having a great day!!!!

The past few months of cards...

Hi Card friends...

Happy Monday, hope it finds you feeling inspired to make something cute! I need to find more time to feel inspired and crafty, I find I've been making cards only when I need them, not when I just want to. I find I make the card not feeling inspired, and I think I need to start trying to just make cards when the mood strikes. Then I can tuck the cards away for when I need them. I think making a list of cards I'd need in the future would be a good idea, then when the card making mood strikes, I can look at my list and start crafting. Then I won't feel so rushed when I need a card for a specific reason, I'll already have them done. Just some random rambling from me this Monday morning!

A card for Brandon's Nana's birthday... stamp sets used, Every Little Bit & Think Happy Thoughts... Love using my stamp'n write markers to color it in!

This was my first BIG all in the family creation... don't know if I shared this before... it was for my father-in-law's birthday... it's the whole BING family!

Another "All in the Family" creation, used for my friend Kerry's Birthday, had to finish this one off in the dark since the power went out!

A little Christmas Card for my friend Terri... again used "Every Little Bit" and "Think Happy Thoughts". I love using a stamp to create a back drop!! Also loved this color combo... why can't pink be for Christmas- right??

This was a little welcome baby card for my new niece Alexis back in November... "Every Little Bit" used again... it's a stamp set that I would recommend for sure... so many uses!

This was a goodbye card for a friend who was moving to Australia, I thought the little world people was a great choice since she was moving across the world... "The World Over".

More Valentines...

So I was inspired by the owl punch and the cheesy line "Whoooo loves you" this Valentine's day... I also was inspired by a little valentines card Kathy had shown me when I made Brandon's card. I loved the Designer's series Valentines paper and the glimmer paper in red... it's SUPER pretty. I used my new three heart punch a lot this month and would recommend it to everyone!! Hope you enjoy my little valentines glimpse...

Love is in the air......

Valentines Day is just around the corner and I've been having fun making some Valentine things. I have a little idea for my kids for next week but it will wait until then. We don't go crazy here at valentines.....just maybe a little surprise with their valentines but nothing big. Too many people turn every holiday into an excuse to buy presents for their kids.....not me.....we like to keep it simple here!!! So here are a couple of things I've been working on.....

November Card Club......

Our November club was Christmas themed with the holidays just around the corner. We did 3 cute projects that night but I only have pictures of 2 of them right now......I will post the third. I have yet to master posting instructions with these posts so please let me know if you need more details.

Baby Card fun...

I recently had some great news from some close friends that babies are on the way, and of course that meant that cards needed to be made to celebrate the exciting days that are to come. Both friends don't know what they are having yet, so I tried to make then in somewhat gender neutral colors, although one is questionable, but I really do love how they turned out. I used the Every Little Bit set, which is one of my fav's. I've made a few other cards with this set which I hope to post soon. They're great stamps to use as add-on's or to make a great back splash! My sister also has the baby onesie roller, and did a bunch off for me, and I love them! So great to use for baby shower and baby card's!

Little duckies for Baby Lantz that is coming this summer...

Little rainbow bears for another special baby to come. This one hasn't been announced to all yet so I won't say who it's for, and they also haven't gotten it in the mail yet... so if they happen to see it here- SURPRISE!!

Merry Christmas with "All in the Family"

So as many of my stampin' club friends know I have been starting to collect the "All in the Family" stamp sets, I've loved them for a LONG time and knew that there was so much I could do with them. What kept me from buying them in the past was that I had no idea how you would build the people, because there was no way to see where you were stamping. Well then I was introduced to the Stamp-a-ma-jig (pg.198 in catalogue) which is amazing. I'd love to know who came up with this idea. Anyway, it allows you to line up your stamps perfectly, so these little people can be built!

I decided this year for my family cards to use "All in the Family" to create holiday family pictures, for our family members. It was fun to create the people and try to create different clothing looks using the few options your given in the set. I'm hoping in the future that they'll bring out a set with more clothes options. For these cards I also used the tree from "Loads of Love" and the present from "Family Accessories". Hope you enjoy a look at my cards and that your inspired to use this set. More posts to come with what this set can do!
